I'm Libby and I have been a fan of Stillmeadow for a very long time.
I see that this community has been dormant for quite some time. That's a shame, because Gladys Taber was one of the most inspirational authors when it came to promoting a simple yet productive lifestyle.
She made small things interesting. When she wrote about her milk glass collection I could see it clearly. I could hear the clicking of her dogs nails as they ran across the rooms. Who wouldn't like to have a friend like Jill who could repair almost anything.

So, where did you all go?

It's not that anyone from this community went anywhere, it's just that there aren't enough members to make a community! :) Counting you, there are three of us here.

I've left the community up in case more members do join, so who knows what the future may bring!

Well, I'll have to go do some promo work. I mentioned Gladys Tabor in my journal and it appears that not all that many people have read her books, which is a crying shame.
Thanks for leaving it up after 100 plus weeks!

Another fan
I just discovered the Stillmeadow books! I think I read about them on a blog, as I was browsing the internet. I hadnt ever heard of Gladys or Stillmeadow .... and now I'm totally hooked. I just recieved my first book 3 days ago and have finished it already ... I couldn't put it down! Beautiful writing with desciptions of places, people, and of course dogs. Reading Stillmeadow seasons had left me with a thirst for more, more, more! I'm in Ireland and have had some difficulty getiing books from anywhere other than America. I managed to get this one from England and have another (Stillmeadow Road) on the way. I can't wait to read it. Stillmeadow sounds enchanting and beautiful. Gladys sounds like she was one really lovely lady. Her gift for writing is one I'm most grateful to have come across. Her way of life is inspirational and serene.
I look forward to reading everything I can get my hands on, that's been written by this speacial lady.
